Kansas Kids Fitness and Safety Day is a statewide event held every year on the first Friday in May. This event focuses on increasing physical activity and safety awareness among 3rd grade students in Kansas. Nearly 18,000 students participate each year at more than 40 sites across the state. Turner 3rd grade students participated at the Turner Middle School fields! Great day for fun! The second and third graders in Mrs. Nickel and Mrs. Boyce’s reading groups have been working hard all year reading at home. They earned points for each night they read at home, and could redeem their points for ice cream and lots of different toppings! They had a really ‘sweet’ time! 3rd grader, Nick, from Mrs. Rabang's class was the Thursday question winner! Nick won a frisbee by answering the following question: If 1 person uses 80 gallons of water a day, how many gallons does a family of 4 use?
Students spent cub bucks on Wednesday, April 2, to have lunch with Mrs. Darby in her office! Irvin from Mrs. Nuckle's 2nd grade is shown.
